Classic Party Rentals, a national event rental company, is seeking a Dispatcher for our Bronx, New York location. The Dispatcher is responsible for day to day dispatching of delivery personnel and truck fleet, making sure all orders are executed efficiently and within required time-frames, and processing all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Make sure all deliveries and pickups are executed within required time frames.
• Delegate paperwork from office and delivery crews to Dispatch Assistant in a quick and efficient manner.
• Review scheduled routes with delivery personnel.
• Keep work station neat and organized.
• Provide a dimension of flexibility to the dispatch position and a “Can Do/Never Say No” attitude.
• Answer radios, log times and provide ETA’s to clients and sales staff, with the help of Dispatch Assistant.
• Integrate new orders and requests.
• Provide assistance to Lead Dispatcher in tracking attendance, deliverymen’s readiness-to-work, mistakes, second runs and reason, missed timelines and other important information to improve overall operation.
• Order supplies from Lead Dispatcher.
• Professional and effective Delivery/Installation interaction with all other CPR departments.
• Maintaining accuracy and timeliness with all paperwork.
REQUIREMENTS
• Excellent communication skills (written, oral).
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Bi-lingual – reasonable Spanish language skills strongly preferred
• Demonstrated computer/information skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows).
• Experience providing customers/clients with outstanding service.
• Experience overseeing large staff.
• Saturdays and working beyond the scheduled shift is required.
