SEIU Communication Center is a state-of-the-art rapid mobilization call center specifically designed to support the campaign work of labor unions and our allies. Our mission is unique! The Center offers a variety of services to support work on voter registration projects, mass mobilization for rallies, political and issue campaigns, new union organizing efforts, member to elected official transfer calls, public opinion polling - and much more.
We are looking for individuals who want part-time per diem work as SEIU-CC Tele-Organizers. This is a part-time job that is good for college students or others needing a flexible schedule.
Qualifications
1. Dedication to progressive issues a must
2. Excellent English reading and speaking skills
3. Some knowledge of civics, government, current issues of social concern
4. Basic typing and computer skills
5. Completion of the required training
6. Exhibit the ability to assertively use the telephone as an organizing tool
7. Fluency in Spanish, Russian and Chinese a plus
Compensation: During the initial probationary and training period of 75 hours the rate of pay is $8.00 per hour. Upon completion the rate of pay is $10.00 per hour.
