We are seeking a qualified individual to perform histological procedures including brightfield and fluorescence immunocytochemistry on postmortem human tissue. These procedures are directed at the study of adult neurogenesis changes in major depression and in response to antidepressant treatment. Duties will include: histological procedures; operation of general laboratory instruments; inventory of freezer contents; brightfield, fluorescence and confocal microscopic analysis of immunostained brain tissue; data management and bibliography search. General computer skills are required. Bachelor degree in Biology or related field with strong computer skills preferred.
