Magnani Caruso Dutton is a leading independent interactive design and marketing agency located in New York City. We work with some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including AT&T, HBO, Discover Financial Services, Sesame Street, Tiffany & Co. and Coca-Cola.

We seek a dynamic and talented ASP .NET Developer to build and implement a web site using Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework. The project is an ASP .NET application with a SQL 2000 database; thus, applicants must have extensive knowledge of ASP.Net 2.0 and SQL and be comfortable leveraging existing code and framework. The ideal candidate will have experience in building similar systems, as well as a good understanding of configuration management, testing and bug tracking. Also, since the individual will be the technical lead for the project, the successful applicant must demonstrate a strong understanding of web functionality, usability, and optimization techniques.

This is an onsite, freelance position for a project that has an estimated duration of approximately two months.

Responsibilities

• Take primary responsibility for delivering technical components of the overall application

• Work collaboratively with our agency team; including project manager, creative director, account management and front-end developer

• Implement site functions that include but are not limited to: database management, user registration/login, and customization

• Implement master templates to be populated by other developers

• Participate in technical discussions around integration and support

• Work with Systems Administrator to install ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL server for development use

• Create code standards/reviews/application framework utilizing .NET 2.0 frameworks, ASP.NET, and SQL

Required Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering, applicable experience considered

• Candidate must possess a strong command of web standards, cross-browser compatibility and various web-related optimization techniques

• 5+ years of related work experience, and 3 years ASP.NET 2.0 experience

• XHTML, CSS and JavaScript required

• Experience with IDE (e.g., Eclipse), version control (e.g., SVN) and QA (e.g., Mantis) tools required

• An adherence to W3C web standards and accessibility guidelines

• Team player, adaptable and flexible

• Ability to work in a fast paced agency environment, while staying focused to help deliver on time and on budget

• Driven to produce rich internet applications of the highest quality through self-discipline, clear and engaged communication, and attention to detail

• Candidates with prior interactive agency experience strongly preferred
