Growing Software Company located in downtown Brooklyn is seeking qualified and dedicated candidate to join our technical support/operations team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting existing institutional and retail customers in high paced 24 hour trading environment;
- Deploying systems for new customers and upgrading systems for existing customers;
- Testing new application functionality;
- Producing Documentation and instructions for customers and for internal use;
- Ability to work any of the following three shifts: 6am to 2 pm, 2pm to 10 pm and 10 pm to 6 am.
Candidates must have the following personal characteristics:
- Ability to communicate complex systems information and ideas effectively and efficiently to a high energy user community;
- Ability to evaluate, diagnose and correct data discrepancies;
- Strong verbal communication skills and customer service abilities;
- Great planning skills and consistent follow-through;
- Time management proficiency and efficiency;
- High energy level and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Must possess strong character and ethical skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to handle difficult situations in a professional manner;
Candidates must have the following technical traits:
- Good general knowledge of computers, hardware and software, internet, MS office applications, etc.
- Previous programming experience is a plus, especially Visual C++ and/or ASP.net;
- Familiarity with financial markets, specifically FOREX is a plus;
