We are a small rubbish removal company looking for an experienced roll-off driver. This position is located in the Brooklyn/Queens area.
Our Roll-Off drivers are responsible for the hauling of construction debris typically from large high volume construction sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial roll-off routes. This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting a heavy-duty truck numerous times each day.
Routes may require Drivers to navigate through congested communities in confined or tight areas in city. Backing skills are essential as a large percentage of the time spent servicing customers is done in reverse. Our drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to service customer accounts and at times need to climb on to the truck containers to smooth loads or secure traps for transport.
In addition, the position involves lifting (up to 50 - 75 pounds), pushing, pulling, and bending. Our drivers, who have safe driving records, also communicate professionally with customers and dispatch at all times, and comply with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with Company policies.
Required work hours must be flexible and may require weekend and/or holiday work. Work hours will vary by route. Drivers must be able to read and understand a map, complete daily driver logs as well as pre and post trip truck inspections.
Minimum qualifications of this position include:
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Must have a valid Class B CDL.
At least 1 year of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL within the past 7 years
Clean driving record
Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
