Join a premiere company as a key member of their development team. This firm offers the opportunity to work on complex technical initiatives in an environment that provides a much better work-life balance than their competitors.
The work involves the further development of trade application management systems. This will involve working with both Java and J2EE in a web-based environment. The development team makes rigorous use of Agile methodologies.
While this is a financial firm, a background with financial services is not required. The primary driver on this search is for bright individuals with in-depth experience with Java development.
The following experience is required:
- Deep technical experience with the Java technology stack including concurrent programming within a Unix-based environment.
- Experience using JUnit and Mock objects for unit testing at least one project that was successfully deployed to production and maintained during subsequent releases.
- Experience working on a team that uses iterative development, with preference given to candidates with experience in an Agile (such as SCRUM) planning cycle.
- A four-year degree is required, ideally in Computer Science or Mathematics
Compensation: $130,000 plus bonus
