Job Description 3D Drafters
Teknetex is assisting a global engineering and consulting firm in Soho who is in search of 3D Drafters for contract work to assist with the delivery of critical projects. Qualified candidates for this position will have done work on unique projects using a great deal of creativity and innovation and are extremely passionate about their field of expertise. This project will allow you to gain experience working for an innovative organization working on sustainable buildings, transport and civil engineering projects.
Available 3-D Drafting contracts include:
Mechanical Drafter
Electrical Drafter
Plumbing/Fire protection Drafter
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare engineering drawings in AutoCAD MEP.
- Utilize technical manuals and directives to ensure compliance with codes and company policies
- Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
- May be required to take engineering notes, specifications, rough sketches, etc. and formalize into working drawings.
- May perform other duties related to this position.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- BS or equivalent CAD experience in related field
- 3-5 years construction CAD experience
- Experience with 3-D drawings/specifications required
- Position requires a working knowledge of design/drafting standards, practices, and techniques.
- Able to read 2D and 3D drawings.
- AutoCAD experience required.
