kikin is searching for an Analytics Engineer to design, build and manage kikin’s usage statistics across kikin’s web and mobile content/service experiences. kikin is re-defining users’ content and service consumption experience and overall web / mobile navigation paradigm. We are looking for experts in the field of usage metrics to help us define a new, more relevant set of usage metrics beyond mere clicks – e.g. time spend, content consumed, transactions performed, etc.
The successful candidate will be familiar with tracking methodology (both web / mobile) OLAP, data modeling, information retrieval and relationship mapping. Responsibilities will include requirements gathering, working hands-on with very large data sets in a data warehouse federation environment, daily maintenance, monitoring, performance analysis, trouble shooting, problem resolution, data recovery, present and future capacity planning for all of the resources required of the data mining systems being managed. You will be responsible for the integrity and accessibility of all business metrics and deliver custom data sets to our research group and product management group.
Skills
• Expert in web and mobile user analytics
• Able to create complex reports (e.g. drill down reports) using cursors and multi-dimensional objects
• Can develop complex SQL queries (e.g. using various joins and sub-queries) and stored procedures
• Able to use complex expressions to calculate, group, filter, parameterize, and format the contents of a report
• Must have good sense of layout and graphic presentation of data
• Excellent Communication Skills Required
Experience
• Experience developing applications that work with heterogeneous data sources, extracting data
• At least 5+ years of experience in software development, database design
• Strong data loading experience and overall database experience is a must
• Experience integrating data access UI layers – both open source and/or commercial
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop / Elastic Map Reduce / Jasper / Pentaho a plus
• OLAP cubes and MDX Queries experience a plus
• MS in CS or equivalent industry experience
