JFSJ helps people in the United States achieve social and economic security and opportunity by investing in healthy neighborhoods, vibrant Jewish communities, and skillful leaders. Our holistic approach to social change includes grantmaking and community investing, service learning and leadership development, organizing and advocacy. We seek to hire someone who shares our values and enjoys a fast-paced, friendly, collaborative, and ambitious work environment.
Position Description
The Database Administrator’s primary responsibility will be to manage JFSJ’s databases: Raiser’s Edge, GetActive, and other data information applications. Manage the GetActive database that allows constituents to learn about the organization, register for email communications and personalized content, take action on advocacy campaigns, make online donations, and get information on events.
Coordinate the online communications schedule, create event pages and advocacy campaigns, build HTML emails, and send emails through the GetActive database.
Produce regular reports tracking donor acknowledgements and receipts, as well as building and running unique queries as needed by development and other departments.
Monitor and manage the performance of the database to assure efficient operation.
Build effective working relationships, encourage participation to enhance the team’s cohesiveness, emphasize overall objectives, and reinforce cooperation.
Keep all database users up-to-date, informed, and confident of data issues and processes.
Stay current on professional, technical, and evolving work related issues; serve as a resource for advice or information on best practices to colleagues.
Skills/Requirements:
