World leading Company (Software developer) is looking for IBM WebSphere Support Engineer
Requirements: Previous experience from system management and/or support
Dealing with customers on the phone and email, and act service-minded.
Monitoring and manual checks are key duties for the service.
Broad technology background that is able to handle several different operating systems
Need to be able to build skills in WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Message Broker, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere ESB, WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere Partner Gateway, WebSphere Service Registry & Repository and on top of that IBM Tivoli
Monitoring V6.1 which includes Omegamon XE f Messaging.
Should be able to perform the installation / uninstallation and configuration changes under clear specifications and processes for the above products.
Investigate and report incoming incidents in an issue tracking system provided by us or the customers for incident reporting and follow-ups.
Escalates incidents to 3rd Line Support, if in place, for further investigation and RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
Examining and analyzing requests for data that is stuck or backed out when sent through the integration platforms.
Logging tickets and assign to the right workgroup for action.
Communicates with internal workgroups and external partners to customer.
Working proactively and suggest improvements in the procedures for smoother and faster processing.
Proactive monitoring of the integration environment using composite application management programs based on IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM).
Setup of new situations and alerts in ITM and evaluation of existing alerts to be able to act proactively upon incidents.
Assure that the alert chain for the incidents from the alert initiation to 1st or 2nd Line support is working.
Assure the setup and maintenance for the MQ object configuration database in Tivoli Omegamon XE for Messaging.
Configure and adapt different workspaces and views for different lines of business in IBM Tivoli Monitoring.
