Simulation & Manufacturing Engineer - Reporting to Virtual Build & Simulation Principal Engineers. The Virtual Build and Simulation department is responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of Manufacturing Process Simulations and Virtual Build Events for all new programmes. To work as part of the Virtual Manufacturing Engineering team to achieve the successful delivery of the departments Business objectives. This will necessitate a flexible approach to both the type and scope of work, which will have to be carried out. The specific tasks for this position will cover the following areas. - Conduct Dynamic Manufacturing Process Simulations (incl. Handlers, Human interaction and Robotics) - Write and publish reports for simulations carried out - Suggest design, process and or facility*tooling enhancements - Virtual Build CAD sequencing (Full Builds in process sequence) - Virtual Build Activity (facilitate event) - Virtual to Physical Validation. Build and Assembly - PAINT - TRIM & FINAL - BIW Skills Required: The successful candidate must be flexible, adaptable, enthusiastic and able to work as part of a team. They will be expected to question, constructively challenge and look for creative ways to deliver against the Business objectives of the department. Experience Required: EM-Power (ROBCAD) (Workplace, Assembler, Human Spot) Experience Preferred: Knowledge of Fides Manufacturing * Industrial Engineering. Industrial Experience in Automotive Trim & Final Assembly, Paint, Body Construction or Logistics as appropriate. Working knowledge of Catia * Ideas. 4D Navigator * Vis-Mockup Education Required: Minimum HNC * ONC Education Preferred: Engineering Degree, preferred but not essential.
