Virus and Spam Analyst - Graduate Opportunity Oxfordshire Salary up to 21.5k + Great Company Benefits
In-depth operating system knowledge - Windows or Unix, an understanding of Command line applications and a passion for computing required for this role as a Virus Analyst within our clients research lab. A graduate with good Windows knowledge and a love of computing and an understanding of security issues you will have had some commercial experience before or after you graduated.
Be responsible for analysing and reverse engineering of files submitted for analysis. Duties will consist of the Analysis of viruses and other malware, reverse engineer submitted files ., Write identities and descriptions for publication. Answer customer queries routed via Technical Support and internal queries from all departments . Classify and analyse "spammy" domains and URIs .Analyse spam campaigns provide detection identities for new spam signs or entire campaigns
Essential to this role will be your experience of operating systems (e.g. Windows) ,and of commercial applications with they command line applications Understanding of internet standards v Desirable:80x86, 68000 assembler experience.
Experience of a broad range of operating systems.Experience within the IT security industry
