My public sector client based in Swindon have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic starter to thrive, in a company and a career with headroom to grow. They are looking for a 1st line IT helpdesk support analyst. Someone with a thorough knowledge and understanding of Microsoft software and operating systems to the level expected of a Microsoft Certified Professional (or equivalent), to include Windows 98 to XP Pro and Office 97 Pro to 2003. Also you are expected to have an understanding or exposure of security, backup and disaster recovery approaches including solutions to virus risks at both PC and server level An appreciation and awareness of data communications over a wide area network. The Ideal candidate will have an interest in and an awareness of the current IT trends and products. To apply for this position you must have outstanding communication skills, a minimum of 6-12 months in a helpdesk environment and Ideally a Microsoft MCP or equivalent. Also a willingness to travel throughout England and Wales as required (although rare) including occasional overnight stays.MSB Technology (a division of MSB International PLC) is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
