Your primary role will be to carry out application level support across a range of trading areas, supporting the business from trade capture to settlement, invoicing and accounting functions Take responsibility for prioritisation, investigation and resolution of more complex faults including liaising with other IT teams and suppliers where necessary. Manage users expectations, keeping them informed of progress on the status of their faults, logging and updating all faults and requests into the Remedy service management system. Carry out user acceptance testing of fault fixes and new software releases, writing test plans where appropriate, recording, reporting and prioritising bugs and training users if necessary Maintain a working knowledge of the applications from a business perspective, along with an understanding of the associated trade flow, interfaces and data transformations Basic level of technical skills, such as the ability to run SQL queries. Seek ways to improve business processes and internal IT procedures Work to predefined plans and milestones Provide written project updates Report back to users providing them with updates on faults Hand over projects and outstanding issues to team members when you are not in the office.
