aspire have an immediate vacancy for a Risk Operations Manager to join a highly successful organisation based in Cardiff.
The Role
· To supervise and lead a team of 2 FTE responsible for credit * fraud strategy
· To identify trends, recommend solutions and drive through changes to optimise strategy rules
· To ensure that credit abuse and fraud losses are delivered in line with predicted performance and * or meeting business wide targets
· To work with the operational support team to deliver key infrastructure projects where there is a policy impact
· To ensure all regulatory and compliance policies are maintained and delivered in line with Audit requirements
Candidate Specification
§ Substantial experience in fraud * credit risk management within an operational or strategic credit card environment
§ Strong numerical and analytical skills, with experience of financial reporting and risk management
§ Knowledge of industry standard analytical tools and methodologies
§ Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a flair for influencing and motivating others to achieve results and exceed targets
§ Excellent time management, organisational, analytical and PC skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Experience in SAS * BI would be an advantage
· Pro-active approach to business challenges with a proven problem solving track record
· Awareness of the regulatory framework Consumer Credit Act, FSA directives etc
· Graduate or alternative professional qualification in a numeracy based area would be preferred.
