Responsibilities:
• Responsible for development and coding of retail models
• Analysis of client and market data
• Report writing and presentations
• Technical consultancy to the sales process and at prospective client meetings
Essential Skills
• Ability to work independently, as part of a team or in a team leadership role on a project by project basis.
• Impressive*articulate in client-facing situations; requires written fluency and articulation
• Database skills, including SQL statements, design of database schemas, data manipulation
• In excess of 5 years` business experience or post-doctorate academic track record
• Strong competency in statistical analysis (regression*segmentation)
• Degree in mathematics or statistics, ideally at 2.1 or above; a geography degree with GIS and a strong statistics content will be considered
Desirable Skills
• GIS (MapInfo Pro)
• SAS
• Master*Post-graduate qualification
• SQL Server
• Retail and*or Property Industry experience, either in client organisations, or in a consultancy firm.
• Understanding of modelling techniques commonly used in Store Location and Market Analysis and Customer Segmentation, such as Spatial Interaction Models, Multiple Regression, CHAID*Decision Trees and Cluster Analysis
• Experience of the consultancy sales process
• Ability to write code for data manipulation purposes, for example using VB, SAS, MapBasic, SQL Script and stored procedures
